Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

The impossible happened. We have the closest thing to an 8th Harry Potter book. Midnight release and all. It was a miracle. I'm currently breaking my record of the fastest time it takes me to read an HP book only because plays are shorter and easier reads. Full length plays take me about an hour and half, and this contains 2.

That said, this is most bizzarre play I've ever read. O_o

And a big hello/ long time no talk to anyone still here. Prepare for this fandom to to implode once again if it hasn't already.

I'm unfortunately just expecting more of the same from fandom, ie complaining because someones fanon got jossed. :( Can't wait for my copy to come! I'm very, very spoiled as to the overall plot but not to most of the specifics.

I have my own opinions both as a fan and a theater nerd, but I'll save it for later. I will say though that as a live show, it looks really fun.

Hey, Ravenstar! *waves*

I've nearly finished reading it. I like it! I have quibbles, but now I know I would definitely like to see it on stage, if I possibly can.

I really like the characterisations. Not all of them. But most of them. :)

And I agree, it looks great fun as a show, with some impressive set-pieces.

Hi pearlette! Hope you're well. :D

Glad you liked it! It was fun as I was reading it. There's quite a bit that I really liked but there's a couple huge plot holes that really annoyed me after finishing it (the rules of the time turners and a certain secret child). And if this story is canon, there's a whole lot of retconning going on.
